The House of Iconoclasts began on December 5 th of 2005 as the brainchild of T.C. Downey. Since its conception, Noble House has undergone constant development and transformation.
Over the course of twenty years some changes have appeared to be drastic and others more subtle and purposeful. The contributions of a variety of direct and non direct influencers being digested and assimilated along the journey. Care was taken to ensure against corruption the key essential components of Noble House’s philosophy and praxis. An examination of our history (qv. Heretical Precepts) reveals those influences and the essence of Noble House, and how they eventually reconcile, culminating in an unique organization.
In 2010, Sorrell postulated that the next lasting institution of satanism would boast clear identifiers and embrace key characteristics. Those characteristics are a focus on small groups of people living in close proximity to one another, based on mutually beneficial goals which necessitate action, be of clear structure which was precise and delineated, an enterprise of financial security and uplifting, not overtly satanic, holding a social and political agenda, and most of all it would be highly exclusive. Now enters the House of Iconoclasts to endeavor to fit this bill. Downey’s vision of this fraternal order will possess all of these identifiers.
Although the Insidious Fourth Way is the preferred practice of Noble House, it is not mutually exclusive. Noble House recognizes the necessity for the broader occult community which falls underneath the umbrella of the ‘Dark Tradition’ and that it possesses a need for a unified collective voice if it is to ever hold any degree of power on the world stage. For all of the bluster and posturing disseminated in perpetuity by this temple or that nexion there has been nothing notable in manifest. Collectively, a precipice has been reached where each must decide the level of dedication truly present. Is this nothing more than role playing to pass time, pure entertainment, or is there an unshakable commitment to see to the societal evolution espoused by so many?
If the answer is affirmative to the prior, then Noble House has no business with this individual. Roll the 11-sided dice and await further instructions from the Dungeon Master. However should the answer to the latter be in the affirmative, then there is a plan laid out. Our Bylaws lay out a carefully thought out blueprint through a system of committees focused on areas that action can be taken to affect real influence. The Bylaws, because they can be amended, can be considered organic in nature should the temperance, insight, and receptivity to do so in real time be present. No longer do the defunct social club known as the Church of Satan or the extreme leftist debauchery of political activists known as The Satanic Temple get to be the sole voices for the entire ‘Dark Tradition’ collectively. When the ranks of Noble House are full enough, the collective can speak for itself.
There is also a recognition by Noble House of the necessity for ‘clandestine’ operations and certainly the Noble House is engaged in them (as briefly touched upon in Heretical Precepts) but it should be noted that what is clandestine belongs in secret and not broadcasted for the world to see. This is one of the reasons that so many who would otherwise take part are skeptical. This perpetuates conspiracy and a general stigma of being a psy-op. This creates a cumulative stifling of potentials which hinder any Aeonic progress. Instead of openly focusing publicly on what can be accomplished through sinister deeds, Noble House is choosing to focus on what can be done insidiously. Infecting the system and gradually overtaking it is a potentially generational undertaking, but a very tangible one. Through committees, focus can be placed on outreach projects, amassing funding for more involved projects, and propagating in a manner appropriate to engage the mutual enemy (enemies) on preferable grounds. This is now what must be done.
